[Closed] Sports masseurs at events - how much to "donate"

Most events these days seem to have "volunteer" sports masseurs onsite with no fixed price just a "donation".

What's a reasonable donation? £5, £10, £20? or more?

The clue's in the 'volunteer' bit....

..if they want to charge I'd pay, if they want to put out the begging bowl they'll get 'thanks'

depends how long they take. £30-40/hr is standard rate.

I'd give at least £10. Most times I've had sports massage at events it's been 15-20 mins and really good. Also, it tends to be the same people and they know me now, they know I'll pay well and they treat me better because of it. 🙂

One bloke donated a pile of silvers and coppers - amounted to about 86p. The masseurs were suitably rude about him. 😉
