I have a 2 month old and 3 rides old XTR 970 chainset, I want to remove the outer and replace with bash ring and up the middle to a 36t
The rings are incredibly pricey, so what middle 36t will fit?

Had a look on CRC and didnt realise that rings were soo different, or are they?
Any help appreciated. I take it a e13 bash will just bolt on ok instead of outer ring?

Anything will fit, the only difference with the OEM and the special TA rings is the big ring has the same 'profile' as the crank so it looks neater.

The e13 bash guard weights an absolute tonne. It seems a strange choice to bolt this to an XTR chainset unless they are bits you already have hanging about.

I'm running an XT 770 36t middle chainring with a Gamut P30 bash on my XTR chainset - works great
