If i bought a Specialized or Trek frame/complete bike from the EU or the US, is the warranty valid worldwide? Usually id assume it wasnt, but as Trek and Spesh UK are part of the parent company and not a separate business i thought id ask.
Cant buy here as the potential frames or bike i want isnt sold in the UK by either company 🙁
Isn't the contract with the seller, who then deals with any warranty claims with the company? At least that how is seemed to work when I had warranty issues sorted out (excellently) by Trek UK via my LBS
If you bought from abroad, wouldn't you have to go back to them? I may be wrong.
You know you can't mail order Trek? you'd have to walk into a US store and pick one up?
Spesh would almost certainly honour a warranty claim, Trek I'd be a bit more wary of, they do things very 'by the book'. Check the small print...
