For those that are interested in this 7spd kids bike
Spawn Kotori 20' DJ bike
Spinner Air OS (~80mm travel)
Tektro Draco hydros
DT Swiss 240s hubs on Alienation Deviant rims
SLX cassette with OneUp DH cassette reducer. DT's 36t engagement
Zee mech/shifter
30t OneUp NW
Ghetto tubless Schwalbe Mow Joes
Gravity light 45mm stem
Gravity light CSI bars
VP push compact pedals

Added 7 gears, a front brake and pushed the weight to 21.15 lbs up from 20.1 as a factory built single speed bike.

He loves it and is chucking it about as best he can.
I better go sell some more holidays (or a kidney) to pay for all this!

Are you in the EU? If so how much did you pay for P&P? Spawn told me that P&P on their US site is more "reasonable" than their CAN site. I'm not sure I'd call US$203 reasonable though.

Very very nice. Does he still ride the 16" Scott Nitrous?

I'm suddenly feeling a little less indulgent. Looks lovely.

I'm in Squamish, where Spawn HQ is, so shipping was a non issue.
Spawn do have plans to distribute in the UK soon.. and honestly, if they can maintain their pricepoints, Isla will have plenty to worry about.

We still have the 16" Nitrous 20 so the blue anno parts that came off the Kotori will go on that now hes ready for 20" wheels.
He managed 6 days in the park this summer on 16". Fun times!

How tall is he? We are still stuck in that "can ride 20" but it is far too big and can't throw it around like a 16" zone"

What made you go for the Kotori instead of the Savage?

I'm hoping Spawn will sell in the Uk soon and and also their 20" full sus will be out ๐Ÿ˜€

I wanted a bike he could ride everywhere. Bike park, trails, skate park. The savage is great and perfectly trail ready, but the geometry of the kotori makes sense as it will last him much longer as onces he's into 24" and up he can still muck about on it as a DJ bike. (Assuming he's into that)
Plus the kotori is new and we all like the new stuff right ๐Ÿ˜‰
Right now he's 117cm and yes, its much harder to throw around than his rigid 16" banshee.

Very nice. Love the seatpost angle, should really help the bike grow with your kid.

Mine is only 103cm tall. Tiny compared to yours even though iirc they are about the same age?

My son really needs this bike.
