I haven't been around the bike feeds for a while so maybe it had more coverage at the time ... but I just discovered this on the South Downs Double site and can't quite get my head round it … much respect to the feller who did this 🤗

Fair play, but he isn't right in the head
Not quite in the same league, but my mate rode Eroica Brittania in 2016 - on a Raleigh Chopper, dressed as Evel Knievel
reading the piece, it says:
"First checkpoint – QE Country Park. A place I last visited some 25 years prior. Arrived over half hour before cut off and smilling like the cheshire cat after somehow surviving the downhill leading into the car park (looking back at the Garmin data also with the speed sensor) clocked a new top speed – 64mph."
hmmmm ....
64kph I could believe, but definitely not mph.
64kph on a BMX is still... brave
Nuts, not something Id want to try.
Josh (Keeping Smiling Adventures) did LEJOG on a bmx but he then went and did it on a kicker scooter too 🤯

Yep....but 64 MPH is surely a no. Maybe the crazy enough to do it on a BMX comes w big cojones tho. Chapeau which ever way you look at it
The KOM on the segment has a max speed of 91km/h. I have a max of 71kmh, which felt fast enough on 29" wheels.

Just reading the title of this thread made my knees hurt.
