I've got some CB pedals that could do with a refresh of their bearings and bushings.
I'm not going to pay their exorbitant kit prices, and previously I bought bushings and bearings from the Hubdoctor guy on ebay, which have worked well.
They are both standard sizes, and the bearings are easy to source.
With the bushings I'm wondering if their's any reason why I can't use 10x14x10 sintered bronze bushings instead of the polymer ones that CB use.

Will they wear the axle faster? Will I die?
Their kits are about £13. Is it worth the effort of looking elsewhere?
Yeah given the fact you get fresh seals etc and all the bits for that I just pick those up ow.
The only bits that need replacing are the bearings and bushings, and if I source my own bits it'll cost about £3 a pair rather than £13+
2 pairs of pedals that's £20 or so saved.
Sorry if trying to save money offends your sensibilities!
