After a couple of questions on here and an email to middleburn, I've come to the conclusion that if I'm going to run middle burn cranks and go the isis route, the best bottom bracket option is the SKF. Specficially the SKF BRF600. Next problem is where to source the damn thing. It seems they are imported, or least have a connection with Pace, but so far no response from them. Does anyone know of a good (pref online) source of these?
Failing that, would anyone like to recommend a nails (but not too heavy) square taper bottom bracket worthy of a decent set of cranks?
Thanks for any help.
Got both of mine from Tim@Sideways
Stif often have them. I bought all of mine from there.
SKF no longer make them. It will be either old stock search or buy something else
Doah! Who is the next best then (either ST or Isis)?
Just to add to this...
I've been in touch with SKF, and they've got a new distributor, so haven't 'stopped' making isis BB's (or square tapers for that matter!).
Guess who it is..?
Middleburn... Which has to be a good thing really considering their quality square taper and isis cranks! And I've also heard that Middleburn are importing the square taper BB's too, unlike Pace did!
Hope that helps!
