Got my much unridden for the last 15 months xc bike out of the loft the other week with a view to getting it off road worthy again. I have decided that since I rarely use it nowadays(ride more DH)that I should downgrade some components number 1 being the wheels.
They're Chris King universal/discotech hubs in silver laced to Mavic X317 grey rims with silver spokes , condition wise they're straight and true but one of the bearing preload collars has a chunk out of it(can be replaced for 12 quid).This hasn't been an issue in the 7 years I've owned the wheels even with nearly 16 stone of me battering ungracefully through West Yorkshire mud.
