Sorry to ask but

Which 29er UK winter grippy tyres should I buy?

Preferably tubless to fit on Stans tubless rims with rim stips etc.

And most importantly NOT Nobby Nicks with the latest models are on route back to the shop after keeping poping off the rims at only 25psi.

I'm running panaracer rampages at the moment. Can't complain with then but they are 2.35" so check your clearance

2.2 rubber queen - if it actually arrives in sept as has been suggested? really rate my 26" ust version in the mud, not as good as a proper 1.8 mud tyre but way better than i expected for such a big tyre (this is on a rigid fork so the 1.8 has drawbacks too)

i used mud x for last winter & liked them a lot.

previously used kenda klaw xt & bonty acx. acx didn't clear mud well and the kenda was a bit cheap and nasty.

just checked the price of beavers, bloomin nora! They'd better last a few seasons, but they do seem good.

Definitely no double entendres in that statement. no, nothing to see here.

I'm going to try some Spesh Storm Control. Tubeless ready and fairly cheap.

not tested yet, but bought a wtb bronson for front use. high hopes that it will be a good allrounder that can handle wet, soft conditions.

I'd hold off for the R Queens or Mountain King 2 if you are not desparate.

I'm liking my XR3's. Dunno that they'll have an especially long life tho' - they do seem to come up a bit wider than I'd otherwise think of as 2.1, which is fine.

I run mine tubed, so can't comment on the tubeless'ness or otherwise.

for every day winter gloup it's a kenda klaw on the back and mudX on the front, occassionally will double up with the Mud X

logic: mudx is very grippy hence on the front but won't last forever on the back
klaw sheds well, chunky grip for digging in and is cheap and I got some very cheap
