Hi as the nights draw in its time to dust of the mudguards and old cyclocross bike, currently running 700cx35mm land cruiser tyres which feel dead.
Have previously ran marathon plus and while these lasted forever and never punctured did not really like them, I suppose the right answer is cough up for some gp4 seasons but thought I would ask for suggestions.
Thanks

If you're feeling flush the Continental Contact Urban looks good, I was tempted but going with another (admittedly silly) option for the moment (26x2.3 Booze Lights). They are very light but have a high rating, my old City Ride's were sturdy enough despite being cracked all round.

BikeInn sell them at a decent price.

Roubaix pro tubeless. Lively, decent puncture protection. Used them for a year or so and roll beautifully at 50 pis with my 90kg weight

I've had Schwalbe marathon Supremes and liked them, certainly as nice as gp4 seasons.

I used to run marathons which just worked but the ride was pretty terrible for the volume.

Now running LifeLine Essential Armour Commuter Road Tyres in 700x38 flavour and really happy with them.

Far better ride which appears to be down to thinner sidewalls, but the puncture protection is good enough for my urban commute which is littered with glass, rubble, stones etc.

They're cheap as **** too.

Thanks that has given me a few more to think about.

you don't need to have the same on front and back, I have a lifeline on the rear for cheapness and puncture proofing with a Michelin Pro4 endurance on the front for a nicer feel and grip (from what I can tell its' the michelin equivalent of the GP4seasons) because a front lasts longer than the rear

I've got some of those lifeline ones and they seem pretty good.

Before that I ran some 38mm halo twin rails.
Worked well. Never punctured and ran them almost to the carcass. Fairly portly and not going to make the tarmac come alive but bomb proof.

I'm on Schwalbe G-ones, tubeless. They're pretty light and thin but I never got punctures when I used them tubed. Now I'm tubeless they feel even nicer.
