This about says it all (or not):

The Forum members represent walking, horse riding, off-road driving, landowner, tourism, health, education and accessibility interests. Members are appointed to the Forum for a 3-year term. The Forum meets 3 to 4 times a year to discuss strategic access issues and deal with a variety of consultations relating to countryside access.

Sadly my life is too busy already, but it looks like we need MTB representation!

Mountain bikers are too busy to attend because they are working their socks off, paying the taxing to fund local government forums.

You are right of course. What we need is a retired mountain biker to join it.

Contact the forum and ask how the views of mountain bikers are represented. Do they have a member, have they tried to find one etc. If the answer's no and yes then if you can't do it talk to local shops, clubs etc and see if you can't find someone.

Application packs are available from January each year with appointments of new members being made in March
