I put a bridge in my local woods.

Fairly substantial heavy thing I'd used 5 of these

on top of 4 2.4m timbers.

Was a nightmare to get it there (which I did on one wet cold windy winters day).

Its been there for a year and a half and has now dissapeared. ๐Ÿ™

Funnily enough there was no other MTB work there until some kids built a very small jump a couple of months ago. Which is still there !! but the bridge is gone.

Im hoping the local kids have just decided to move the bridge somewhere else but I can find it any where.

At what point and crucially what velocity did you notice it wasn't where it ought not to have been moved from?

Are the woods FC or private? As they remove unsanctioned shore due to libability issues

Private. Im not really complaining there was always the chance it would get taken. I imagine it is something to do with H&S.

I'd hardly describe it as shore though ! It was pretty wide.

Plenty of walkers use to use it too. Now they've just gone back to throwing loads of logs in the stream which just means the water spreads and the bank become mucky.

I built a shoddy plank bridge up at the reservoir. For some reason, someone threw it in the reservoir ๐Ÿ™ I was bereft- but then later in the same ride found it washed up on the shore, about half a mile away. So nothing would do but I had to go and immediately put it back.

It's vanished again now mind, but you never know...
