It's going to happen to me tomorrow. Not riden in anger for a couple of weeks and going on a long fast roadie run in the morn. Why do we do it?

ha, yea it happens

also, sometimes you wonder why you feel like your redlining and about to blow a gasket... it took me until 90mins into a ride to remember that i'd had 3 espresso's that morning!!! i was flogging myself to death

Yeh doing a 80Km road training ride tomorrow - thought I should get some MTB in but I should really have gone out with stabilisers on ๐Ÿ˜• Glad no one saw me doing 5mph in the peeing rain ๐Ÿ˜

Yep. Happens to all of us. Remember Cadel Evans losing the pink jersey in the giro d'italia that year?

Anyway, solution. have a rest. Make sure you're well rested, fuelled and hydrated and if that doesn't solve the problem it's probably a sign to back off for a bit. Give your body a chance to recover.

I was out in Swinley for the first time since early July today, after about 10 miles I was beat so retreated to the gulley and worked on my jumping, but even that was hardwork riding back up for another run!

Couldn't even do small drops today though, riding upto one I knew I could (probably) do, just ended up trackstanding at the lip and doing it at snails pace.

If it's not fatigue from over training and not enough recovery it's probably food and water. For me it's normally food.

just eat loads the night before (not just a snack) stay off the booze, and have a good shit before you go out.

Had one of those days today. Haven't been on the bike as much, just nothing there. Hopefully it'll all come good tomorrow.

What is a typical day's food?
When I had a similar problem a couple of years ago, a doctor friend simply said "eat more"!

Have a word with the doc, any changes in resting heart rate? Some kind of virus or just over training?
