Never had this problem before, I'm fitting a tektro auriga comp brake to a new orange f8 rigid fork.
Set it in the normal way, loosen bolts, pull brake lever on, tighten bolts. Wheel spins free and no rubbing on disk, stops fine.
However when I actually cycle the bike and use the brake there is a strange pinging sound which I'm pretty sure is a spoke just catching part of the caliper, as if the caliper has flexed over under braking
Bolts are tightened up correctly, if I try to move the caliper more away from the wheel the disk rubs.
Any ideas? Wheel looks completely true as well.
i had this with aurigas on a inbred with a rigid fork and the mount needed a couple of washers between the fork tabs and the mount to space it out a bit
when i put them on a sus fork they were ok so it may be a rigid fork thing
You may have a spoe that needs tightened or loosened to stop it catching the caliper
Nah checked the spokes all seem tight and ok, though one is a mm or so further over (the one I think is catching).
The caliper / wheel were fine on a DJ3 fork.
Khani - do you mean spacers been the fork tab and adaptor? Or the adaptor and the caliper? There is very little space between the fork tab/adaptor/rotor
I reckon if I go up a rotor size I should be ok, but that means buying another adaptor which I'd rather not.
