At least the conditions look good and I know the course is in good shape at the moment!!
Me & if this weather holds it could be a great race.
Me too . Is it going to be a mud fest d'ya think , requiring a full on mud tyre , or will any nobbly round thing do?
I managed to rub off my face and rip my ear across the top on the BMX track that used to up there, will be nice to go back
I'm there in the 2 hour. Last year it was surprisingly dry, I reckon it'll be fine, I've got Nics, doubt you'll need anything more.
any more course condition updtaes Pants
I'll be there. First non-road ride in 3 months. Just been pootling up and down the road on my mtb, everything still works. This is gonna be interesting...
Course condition update appreciated here too - still got the summer tyres on at the mo!
Hi
I did a lap this morning - pretty dry in places, muddy in others. Firm ish base to the trails. Bit sloppy in places. Was on Rocket Rons and they were fine. 39 mins to get round not really going for it but not slowly either. 2 big hills - nice! Loads of fun trails, plus some new sections. Loads of work has been done to the trails, including more bridge building.

I'm in ๐
The course is in fine condition, yes a few muddy sections, but NO real sloppy mud fests, the course will get better throughout the race no doubt!!
I have been riding it throughout the week on my Racing Ralphs with no problems.
Yes you will have to clean your bike after the race, but it is a Winter Series!!
Enjoy the hills, the views, the descents, the Free Mulebars/Gels and the For Goodness Shakes along with your post ride grub!!
Course looked good from the quad this morning!

I assume you mean "surprisingly dry after the quagmire that finished off the 2nd fire road climb"? ๐
I had a right result . I found a cheeky fiver on the course, so being the ultra athelete i stopped and shoved it down my shorts .
The race, well i participated and added to the prize money. Good course but some awful dull as climbs . Last lap I walked a couple of hills as i was getting cramps in my quads. Mud tyres were the way forward . some sections got cut up really badly , marshals changed the lap to miss out one bridge / bog combo. Started to suffer from chainsuck on the last lap which was nice .
Saw Nick for about 10 secs didnt recognise anyone else ,and I came in 29/39 in class .
I will be back to search out some of the other tracks in the woods , some quality singletrack in there.

Hi Pants
Loved the singletrack on this course but got a little boggy in places and the climbs really hurt ๐ฏ managed 5 laps came in with 10mins to go the mind was saying 1 more lap but the legs where having non of it.
The course was awesome - it's not going to be bone dry - it's a winter series. There were a couple of short muddy sections, but they were firm underneath! Loved the hills - uphill is my favourite ๐
