Bear with me on this....

Ive got a lezyne flow bottle cage that has a nifty multitool, tyre plugs, chainlink etc in a compartment, straps that i have a minipump on one side

images

id like to strap an inner tube & tyre levers on the other side, but i need some sort of waterproof pouch because it's filthy out there and the pump is encrusted in mud.

id like something quite minimalist as its just for a tube & levers, cheers;

I used to use a section of moto inner tube, but now use a disposable workshop glove 🧤

All i do is get some black pallet shrink wrap film and wrap my tube and tyre levers in that, keeps them dry and clean

I used plastic postage bags wrapped in parcel tape.

Didn't even look that bad tbh.

Makes sense to stick it in a couple of gloves you can put on if you need to use it!

I can’t be the only one thinking the most genius answer is in the title…

It does, yet inevitably they don’t get used when they should

Know anyone with a fat bike, who might have an old knackered inner tube?

I've previously used a cheap small dry bag for a tube & tools attached by an enduro strap. The sort planetx sell 5 for under a tenner.

Bumbag and carry kit off the bike...or a backpack...or even more extreme a lycra riding top with 3 back pockets and use those.

They'll all keep the kit clean.

I've never understood the need to carry everything on the bike exposed as it is never good for kit...unless people then spend more time meticulously cleaning the kit after a manky ride.

Another bigger inner tube maybe? Or a condom?  Where on earth can I find the emojis for this forum?

A light sprinkle of talc on the tube which you then roll tight and wrap in cling film and then carefully heat shrink it over a gas stove.
