ever have one of those days where things just dont flow on your commute to work?
Your timings out on the lights which you normally time to perfection, you have to unclip and put a foot down.
You try and sneak round the lights on the pavement, just for them to change, then cant get back on the road due to the constant oncoming flow of traffic.
Your not able to cross lanes to get to your right turn and have to unclip and put a foot down and wait. etc etc.
The lolipop man steps out just as your in full flow and in your biggest ring, not giving you time to shift down gears, then struggling to set off again!
Normally my ride to work is very smooth and flowing without ever having to put a foot down, this morning the commuting gods were against me.
Well at least I didn't have any near misses with the SUV driving mums dropping their kids off at school as usual.
All karma for this:
You try and sneak round the lights on the pavement,
You try and sneak round the lights on the pavement, just for them to change, then cant get back on the road due to the constant oncoming flow of traffic.
Tut tut!
I know what you mean - I just back off, and pootle it (I usually pootle anyway, but if it's a labor I still pootle only moreso).
I dont let red light jumpers on squeeky death machines who pedal at a continuous 6 mph through lights, zebra crossing, roundabouts, junctions etc get to me either. I like to arrive chilled.
