[#6969906]

There was a thread a while back pointing to a decent spec small hardtail frame but I'm not having much joy searching for it. Can anyone point me to the thread or suggest a small cheapish hardtail frame and who has got a good deal on them?

Cheers SOM but I wad looking for something a little less spendy.
There was a thread a while back about building up a kids small bike and someone posted a link to a small hardtail, but I've lost the link.

Orange Crush - the old 26 inch versions have a very short hop tube, my lad rides ones. Great small bike.

Literally just finished this. Frame as referenced above by Simon - really nice looking/feeling frame. 14" weighed in at 1750g, complete bike just under 12kg and budget a bit under Islabikes Creag (with some bits out the garage).
First ride soon. Son is 9 and about 145m tall.

the only issue I had when building one was I had to wind the brake levers in so much that they touched the handlebars before biting.
