Much difference in performance? Always preferred SRAM shifters and SRAM chains (ran Attacks for a while, and powerlinks are great) but trying to weigh up my options..

For a 2x10 system, i'll be buying;

Cassette
Chain
Shifters
Mech

not sure about 10sp but I find Shimano mechs smoother and easier to use than SRAM.

i prefer SRAM but just been through this, SRAM are not competitive for some reason in the mid-range where most of us are buying, esp. if you buy from german shops.. would take SLX and probably KMC chain.

I've always preferred SRAM to Shimano but I've had so much trouble with the X9 on my last bike that it'll be Shimano for me from now on.
With the prices for shimano from the German sites, it's not worth buying SRAM anymore.

so, anyway, any of these german sites got 2013 SLX cranksets/drivetrains in either 1 or 2x10 flavours yet, does anyone know?

Ive been using SRAM for around 8 years (X9 & X0) and have been pretty happy with it apart from Avid brakes

Latest bike I decided for a change and went for XT, mainly for the simplicity of fitting the crank-set and to try the brakes out

Very happy with new XT but also still happy with SRAM on other bikes, i bought the XT group set from Germany
