This Tyre is on my commutter bike and its done around 500 miles. Still looks pretty new. However I noticed it has a slit probably caused by glass. Its not punctured and the glass has come out.

Can this be repaired or will I die?

If there's no bulge I would Cary on using it after perhaps a bodge fill of the hole with something suitable.

Looks a bit bulgy to me.

I have an aksium tyre with similar slit that will be going nowhere but the turbo.

Those contis are tougher beasts though and I might be tempted to try a big patch on the inside to reinforce it.

Superglue, it works a treat just put it in the hole will set solid.

I've been running a road tyre with a similar split for 6 months,...I've only recently put a puncture repair patch on the inside of the tyre, just to help out. The superglue trick sounds good too. might try that myself.

I was thinking of grating or rubbing some rubber from another tyre mixing it with rubber glue and in filling the hole, bit like you would with wood dust and wood glue in a hole in wood!

Superglue,
Living in Norfolk, the flint washed on to the roads by the rain cuts up tyres like that all the time ๐Ÿ™
