Hi just wondering if there is anyone out there my height (6"3) riding a giant trance in large frame size? I see from looking around that there is no xl frame available. I know the simple answer is to go try one for size but there is no stores close that stock them. Thanks for any help.
Try having a look on the MTBR.com forums - I think there's a lot of tall guys there riding Trances.
FWIW, I'm 6' and briefly had a Large '09 Trance but preferred the Medium in reality - the earlier models tended to feel a bit short and tall. Am now on a Medium Specialized Pitch which is technically smaller but I prefer it for the shorter duration rides that I do. As an XC/trail bike the L Trance was a very good fit though.
I'm 6'4" and happily riding a large trance X3.
Seatpost on full extension but that's pretty much how every bike I've had has been. Bike back in the UK is a large (20") inbred, fit is similar.
For what it's worth I think it's brilliant, v good VFM (esp if you get an end of year model) and the suspension works v well although being a hardtail rider of over 20 years I have little objectively to compare it to...

Apart from seat post length that is... I had to change mine in the shop to a 400mm one.
a tall giant is about 9 or 10 feet tall. Ho ho ho.
