My lad has a brand-x xc frame from a few years ago
I need to get a new seat clamp, but not sure what size it is and the frames are now discontinued
Its an ally frame and takes a 27.2 seat post.
Anyone got an educated guess? The only measuring i can easily do is with a tape measure.

thats the one. 30ish is for steel frames more often?

Yeh, 30/29.8 for steel frames. 31.8 or 34.9 for alu frames.

thats a good point, i might have a shot to bits front mech that i can cut up and shim as a quick bodge for the next week.
