well , I'm after a 29 er singlespeed with ridgid fork. like the look of the fortitude as it looks like good value, the singular swift looks nice too but don't know much about them. Have i missed anything obvious?

you were right the first time, Swift rides lovely with the rigid fork (no experience of the genesis but nearly 4 years on a swift)

depends if you want to use sus forks or prefer rigid-specific i guess. handling's a bit different too.

Swift is a great ride with rigids, particularly the singular ones.

it will definitley be set up with rigid forks. initially ss but possibly with a hubgear at some point in the future. the swift seems to offer a bit more versatility with its cable guides etc.

Niner SIR.9 is seriously nice with Niner steel rigids. So was the Inbred I had before (with Swift rigid fork).

There's the Pace 129, with the Pace steel rigid.
The Surly Karate-Monkey is a left field contender, plenty of fans on here.
And don't write off the aforementioned Inbred, with a nice (think Swift) steel fork it rides well.

The Fortitude does look good though, & Genesis certainly know their onions with steel...
