Sometime in the next day or so my small singlespeed experiment will begin, however it may well begin with two chainrings. I am right in thinking I will need shorter chainring bolts once I remove the big ring?
Deore Hollowtech II if it makes any difference.
Something like these from the UKBikeStore or these from Hubjub?
Anything more than a fiver seems a bit much and don't have any suitable washers, and don't want to trash the big ring.
Anywhere in Sheffield/Chesterfield area carry them in stock?

Yes, you need single ring half height bolts for just one ring.

do you have a sharp file? If so file them down.

Yup, you'll need shorter bolts. I.D. do some good ones for not much cash.

Pretty easy to cut them down, & it's only the female threaded part thats essential.

No sharp file and a fiver seems ok. Internet shopping here I come unless anyone has a shop with them in?
