In the process of building a Single Speed hack bike for commuting duties.

Before I splash the cash, is the DMR kit the one I should go for?

Don't want to spend a fortune, and serms a good deal.......

Thanks in advance,

Alan.

You can get a doofer and ring and spacers from one one for a couple of quid less or look on classifieds for a second hand kit? DMR kit is good though

I tried a Gusset Batchelor tensioner, but found the design wouldn't work with the cowled dropouts on my Soul frame.

The DMR simple tensioner (which is what's in the kit you're looking at) works a treat though. HTH

Yep, that tensioner is good, i've got one on my yelli. The only thing is you can't fit a single speed chain in the roller so need to run an 8 speed or narrower (i think). You can widen the roller using dremel or something or alternatively i had an old lower roller for a chainguide and just swapped them over.
