What's out there?  Looking for suggestions for single speed frames and ebay/market place just keeps throwing up stacks of cheapo SS/fixie junk with names of fruit etc. Looking for things that will take a 35mm plus 700c rear gravel tyre and it must have track ends. My old Specialized Tricross SS would have done the job but that's 10 years gone. Decent 26" wheel stuff works of course as brakes are not needed with a fixed wheel but lets go a bit more modern. I reckon Planet X did something.  Genesis Day One fits the bill but how about their Flyer? Charge? Can't check out tyre clearance. Anything else? Ideally not the eight of a small steam engine either. What are you using? Cheers

Ive got a spare tricross singlecross small (I also had a medium) - i used to use it for commuting pre-covid, but rarely needed now

I have a Genesis Flyer for commuting and find it pretty good. Plenty of clearance with 35mm tyres and full mudguards. Also has cable routing for a hub gear if you ever want one.

It's not light. Though has heavy tyres, cranks, etc.  But cheap and reliable.

On-one had a 29er ss frame - they also did the pompino and pompetamine for drop bars.
My cotic road rat might fit the bill but not sure many of those pop up.
Surly (although some of those were horizontal dropouts, not track ends if that really bothers you.
Charge Plug?

Langster unless you really need the wider tyres? Sold my complete bike for about £150 so you can get bargains on them and they're fun to ride!

I'm currently trying to sell a complete Canondale Trail SL on the cesspit of Facebook Marketplace. It's a cracking frame and fork. All so decent weight. It Med / Large and can be seen in Scottish Borders

If you get an external eccentric bottom bracket you can turn any frame with a BSA/T47 BB into a singlespeed without the hideousness of a mech style tensioner.

I've had a First Components version for a while across a couple of different frames and it's worked really well.

Mate has a Langster, checked, not the tyre room. Could go EBB but another complexity with limitations on chainsets. That Brother looks nice but would want to chop the rear brake bosses off. Going pure fixed wheel on this one. Could go vertical drop outs but that's taken care of with the two White industries eccentric hubs I use. Got an Affix hub ready to lace up and want a frame for that. Thanks all

I got a Ribble Urban 725 frame from Ribble outlet for £100 not long ago (they are still selling now).  Takes 38c gravel tyres with ease.

Take a look at the Stooge Rambler. No sliding drop outs but an eccentric bottom bracket. I have one that is geared, It is a lovely bike.

@franksinatra

Might be interested but when you say medium/large, what actual centre to top size is it? I've a medium but at 17" it's a tad too small for what I use it for.

Sorry, I sold it via FB Marketplace at the weekend.
