I'm thinking of running my on one as a single speed,I've got a tensioner and the single speed kit for the back,do I just take the small and large chain ring off or do I have to put smaller bolts on?

you'll need shorter chainring bolts or some washers.

oh, and if I were you I'd look at using an unramped SS specific chainring up front (the On-one stainless ones are good)
