I like the Marzocchi and Rockshox reds, white and Fox orange can be ok on the right bike. Everything else looks a bit shit.

Excuse my skills. I did at least use fork photos taken in daylight.

All look pretty ok, but that's because the rest of the bike is black.
If it was a colour I think they'd all start looking a bit naff.

Red done well.

Black forks are boring, but so often cheaper. If the same price… always go colour. That’s how I see it anyway.

I mean, look at that not orange Orange with orange Fox forks on the previous page. Or those Z1s right there! Fun. And bikes are fun. The pink Helms are probably the most fun.

Pink Helms.

Think I’d prefer black on that Bird…. which frame is it? It’s the nicest looking Bird I’ve seen by some distance, despite the forks 🙂

It's an Aeris AM.

Yellow should be a banned colour.

Gag inducing.

i’m not keen on the dvo, but the others are good colours. personally, i’d like to see them colour matched to a frame,  especially the formula or ohlins.

The only problem I have with a lot of these colours is that they never seem to match anything. And there’s nothing I hate more (style-wise) as mismatching colours (like when people have anodised red components from several brands and they just a rent the same). I think if I had fancy coloured forks then the rest of my bike would have to be black, white or another neutral colour.

At least Privateer had the sense to make the frame match the suspension. I think I could get away with yellow lowers on this.

If anyone knows anyone at Privateer, tell them I'm waiting for the Ohlins E161.

Compared to the (RRP) cost of the ‘signature’ coloured forks, a respray isn’t prohibitively expensive, especially if you got a discount on them too.
