Just purchased a new Vitus Escarpe frame in the CRC sales and I had a query in regard to the shock that is fitted - it's a Fox Float DPS factory shock, and when I went to adjust the rebound it feels similar to my old rock shox and formula mod shock rebound adjusters for the first few clicks however after a few clicks it gets ridiculously stiff and there is much more of a metallic click. Is this normal? Have booked it in with Silver Fish for them to have a look at it, but wondered if this was normal and I'm just over reacting?
Factory series do have quite an aggressive feel to the indent clicks on the adjuster so it's likely working as intended. However, letting Silverfish inspect it is probably the wisest option as you'll not get a conclusive answer on here as no one can diagnose a shock via a keyboard and computer screen 😉
You can go straight to Fox U.K. now rather than Silverfish. Hopefully won’t make a difference though

Understand noone will be able to diagnose and that wasn't really the question. Question was if anyone else has experience with this shock and if that's normal...never had a shock where the feel of the rebound adjustment changes as you turn it.
I think I have that shock on my 2021 Neuron. Hmm maybe not the factory version. The rebound adjuster felt the same on every click
Thanks for the reply - I'm going with my initial thoughts that it's not right, might be money down the drain for them to say it's fine, but better safe than sorry!
If you can still feel the difference in terms of damping between clicks, it's probably working as intended, but probably a good idea to get them looked at this point rather than wait a couple of months and then have to fulfil their warranty requirements.
My DPS did the reverse - one click then rotated freely...and that was definitely broken.
My DPS factory is behaving in exactly the same way. Did you ever get to the bottom of it?
