Has anyone ridden both? The SID is 200g lighter so I am wondering what the down side is e.g. if it lacks stiffness.

Any comments?

Cheers
Rich

Not ridden the 120's but I have had the 100mm in both guises with 15mm bolt through and the sid is noticeably less stiff if that helps?

Thanks chief, something had to give. I guess with 120 29er fork that will be even more pronounced.

OTOH I have 100mm sid 29ers and they're plenty stiff, comparable to 26" forks I have.

BUT they're taper + 15mm, and apparently taper steerer makes more difference than the bolt through. Can't compare like for like though, so who knows!

I will say though, RCT3 damping is excellent (prefer it to Fox).

Do you get SID 120 29ers, thought it was only the 26" version that had this travel option?

They have some SID RCT3 on UK Bike Store at 120. I checked that it wasn't a typo because the SRAM site quotes on 80 and 100 for the 29er.

I'm pretty sure the SRAM site is correct.
