I have a free pass for tomorrow so looking to go biking somewhere new, fancied trying the Long Mynd. I have been on the Shropshire Hills mtb website and seen their trail map, if i just turn up tomorrow and buy one of these maps and follow the route will I have a half decent ride and are they easy to follow?

Thanks

just ask for directions. I found the maps a bit too vague really, I much prefer a good OS map - you could get them to mark the trails for you on one.

have fun though, long mynd is ace

I need OS maps too. Pretty easy to navigate though as not too many choices and numbers on marker posts.

There was a route guide in MBUK recently.

Ask one of the lads in the shops and he will tell you the best numbers/trails, but you will probably get more out of the trails with an OS map.

The map/markers are very easy to follow and you will be able to knock up a decent route just using it.

The Mynd is one of my fav places, it gets ridden more than my local stuff these days........oh and make sure you get your climbing legs on! ๐Ÿ˜‰
