What's a Dad/Mum bike. Now't here that falls anywhere near that other than a 90's MTB commuted up.

That's my next project. All the swish bikes are great but I've nothing to pop to the shops on. Shouldn't have given away that old hybrid.

I can't really pop to the shops on my commuter - got to lock it up. It's full of XT and has newly built (by me) wheels. The rest aren't sensible for anything other than their correct purpose. I'll get a photo of the commuter/utility bike after the refurb in December, and as it is now with new wheels (using retro vintage XT hubs).

Then I bought this recently, second hand. Full on CX bike, can't fit guards or panniers or much else - It's great fun.

PS Can't beat a good 90's MTB, had mine since new. Will also take front panniers so could be a world tour bike !

Not sure this counts bad my dad borrowed my brothers Whyte a couple of days before his 80th birthday and came out with me on a wild cross country ride in rural Norfolk 🙂

I’m building up a single speed Charge Blender that I picked up on FB for £30. It’s going to be used as a ‘dad country’ (blatantly stoke this from NSMB) pumptrack bike with my 4 year old twins instead of my big wheeled main bike.

Does that count as a ‘dad bike’?

There's an xtracycle with yepp maxi kicking about too.

All had alot of use and with the arrival of our little boy on Tuesday - lots more use to come.....Kona rove towing the tag along towing the croozer anyone ? The xtracycle towing the croozers already bin done with kid one before I got hold of the MK2 deck and yepp seat.

Found it.

Fwiw the trailer was the most enabling thing we bought. It let us go for 30/40 k rides during nap time with kid 1 and use in winter/rain etc when all the others leave them exposed to the elements.+ You get loads of space on the roads..... the macride is great for the experience but the trailers the one id buy again first if it all vanished.

Although with the 3 yo the tag along has been ace. As long as we get cake she is like an energiser bunny..... She's done 30k out back and asking to go further.... " Can we do ONE HUNDRED miles ?"

Bike £30
Marathons £30
Mudguards £22
Lights (inc dynamo), rack, grips... and cheeky ebike conversion kit - model's own 😉

My wife wore out a Croozer walking up and down our (very long) driveway when the kids were tiny. They loved it, clambering all over it as she marched. I only used it with a bike two or three times.

Saw a mint Peugeot bike from the late 80s yesterday outside an auto factors and very nearly took a photo.
