ton, should think BigSi's forks are manitou minute 29s, air sprung, 80, 100 and 120mm variants, although not sure if the 80s have bolt thru

i've got a pair of 80mm QRs on my race bike, and have just got a pair of 26" 120 bolt thrus for my solitude, lovely forks - very light for the travel. no sure what effect a 'bigger' guy would have on the flex though, if it matters to you (not that mine are flexy (or not that i've noticed...))

Ton - They are Manitou Minutes in 100mm guise with the bolt through.

Good forks for the money although i have found them a bit difficult to set up as a heavier rider because they are either too soft or bottom out the travel too easily if you ramp the pressure up. My LBS have suggested changing the spring in them to solve the problem (?) but they won't do it as getting hold of spares can be a nightmare apparantly.

If i had the money i would get some Fox F29's or Reba maxel jobbie but am happy with these for now.

I love those 1st generationTrek 69ers. Looks good with the Niner carbon fork. Though do think they looked great with the Maverick fork as off the peg. Beautiful bike IMHO, probably the best looking MTB that Trek had done up to that point.

First post on the forum, so hi everyone.

I'm Glenn from Croydon and I ride a Cove Handjob. Have had this since early 2008 and love it. Previous ride was an '00 Marin Rock Springs.

Some awesome bikes here! I'm looking forward to spending some more time on this forum 🙂

Lowering the tone slightly from these lovely builds, my trusty Revolution Triad 2.0 (2008) - got me into off-road after many years on-road... note typical-roadie positioning of saddle 🙄
