I've been using the cane creek headset it came with for over 3 years - with no issues.

No red spaceframes exist. Just a few green and a few black spaceframes (with truss fork). That lovely Red (there's black too) is diamond frame and unicrown fork. It's all short production runs really. Jeff doesn't (yet) have the resources to produce lots of everything, in lots of colours.

Sorry if that came across the wrong way.

It's being collected in the next couple of days by someone that's been looking for one for a very long time. Which makes me happy that someone has got exactly what they want at the right price. 8)

Stu, yeah was just rubbish timing for me - in 6 months I would have torn your arm off. Trying to find someone who does Jones and 0% finance but looks like a hiding to nothing. No money but free time now, money after August but no time. Ah well.

No, it came like that, it's a Merlin Steel one not a Taiwanese jobbie.

Oh Biff don't be shy ๐Ÿ˜‰

I thought that bike was staying for life Stu?

This is mine. Not nearly as pretty as the 'standard' spaceframe but all part of Jeff's progressions...

Me? A 29x2.55 Weirwolf WTB fits I think, or have I got Maxxis tubeless something or other on there? Ignitor? I'll have to check, I've been on the pistachio green steel of late (and my Kona road bike :O)

Quoted from the jones website:

And I was riding one of my prototypes. Iโ€™m fortunate that I can build an entire bicycle to check and test my theories and inventions and this is one such experimental frameset. Itโ€™s riding well but very much still โ€˜in developmentโ€™ so I canโ€™t say much more until I have it ready

Looks very much like a Knard in the back of a steel Spaceframe to me ๐Ÿ™‚

[img] [/img]Despite knowing that less bags = pack lighter = better.. I want 2 of these truss-camelbacks, quite a lot.

26" rear with a 3" fatty comes in about 28 and a bit inches so with a fat front as well it just drops the BB very slightly, I rolled the EBB up for the same sort of pedal clearance and it's ace. Acceleration is not it's forte any more but traction on stupidly steep and loose climbs is ace and point it down or on flowy stuff and it's monster truck mental. I keep making "vrooom" noises and giggling like a small child!

jameso- with a gear dangler and some frame bags, it would make a fantastic adventure bike, just take it anywhere. the rear happily runs at 8-10 Psi tubeless it's not as lardy as I was expecting.

Nice to see that the new prototype designs are thoroughly 'tested' !!

that definitely looks like a Knard in the back.
