No, not an Orange Five..

But a Salsa Vaya.

Picked up this evening from Tim @Sideways.

Needs a few tweaks, but the initial leg over test™ proves with a few changes, it'll be awesome.

Proper pics to follow..

I loves it - apart from the saddle and the excessive bottlecageness

Regal saddles might be the world's most comfortable secret. Three bottle would be a minimum requirement for an extended tour somewhere hot.

My browser hasn't loaded the photos but I'm going to dive straight in and say that there's something wrong with your home/garden that should be fixed immediately, certainly before you entertain the idea of riding your new bike.

Oh and there is a really specific aesthetic detail of your bike that offends me greatly. I command you to change it to suit my tastes NOW.

Fair one.. Just for you fella, the pic from the shop, so you can complain about Tim's place. 😆

Thanks.

You might want to extinguish that carpet fire, and for god's sake replace that hideous bottom bracket.

I like it, lose the bottle cages and fit Vincero bottle mounts, fit mudguards and an inline seatpost/Fizik Gobi saddle and i'll take it off your hands and give it a good home, can't say fairer than that - email address in profile.

😉

Want that one ^ (in a little britain style voiceover)

Not seen nor heard of a Vaya before, but i want one now, with mudguards, and a rack, maybe a bell as well and a handlebar bag......i may as well join the ctc now, my credibility has been destroyed by that outburst.

Really like the look of that, Teetosugars.

I'm considering a very similar build on a Vaya or Peregrine. I don't suppose you could post the specs, could you? In particular, what wheels do you have on there?

Thanks for posting the spec and those extra pics. I'm definitely fighting a losing battle as I try (not that hard) to resist ordering something similar.

take a look at the cow bells first, not as flared as the woodchipers, standard on the full Vaya
