There's a joke in there somewhere about the Mrs messing about and flicking beans....

or possibly the past
That 2nd pic looks suspiciously clean for HTN Harry or was it HTN1.5?
HtN 1. Two laps worth of crap.
I'm that quick that I was flying over the mud 😉
2 early laps? by late afternoon my bike was finishing a lap a couple of pounds heavier than it started. I obviously wasn't thinking "light and floaty, light and floaty" hard enough over the [s]muddy[/s] muddier sections like you were 😉
10:00 am and 4:00 pm
Wait 'til you see what we have lined up for the next one!
Any road up... back to the OP.
Hey,
How come there are different sliding drop-out versions? Slot and sliding? Eccentric BB how??

Sorry I'm late 😉 . Here's lil red in his latest incarnation as a stop-gap bike while amassing funds for my new build . . .

Now stripped back down and a wall ornament once again but it's the only frame I'd never sell (3 years old at the end of this month and seems to ride just great whatever forkery I build it up with - loved it with those 120mm Minutes)
Loads more incarnations here.
Paul, Brant/on-one went through a few different chain tension methods, I think the timeline was
Normal slot dropout
EBB
Slidey dropout
Current slot style (with disc slots too)
paul, mine is a prototype 456, there are 2 only with an EBB, there are some tinbreds (i think) and normal inbred from back in the day with them.
here is the wife's made with parts hanging around the shed...
and my normal mk2 or 3 inbred (stripped down to frame only).
The Phaons just will not die, never really liked them as the spring was too soft and it's impossible to get a replacement here... left them 12 months and it stiffened up. Not too bad now but the stanctions are rubbed to flat spots and still work the same...
Here's mine ready for a 149km road ride yesterday:

(I put the saddle up a bit...)
Some of these bikes are far too clean 😉
way to go Mike, did the big ride go ok?

my pic was taken just after the build finished............ don't look like that now!

Yeah, it was pretty good. Average speed was pretty slow (10mph) but hard to go much faster when on 32:17. (map and GPS data - there's another 5 miles not shown between home to start.) Good Kielder 100 training.
mamadirts is the only one i'd be seen riding and more akin to a build i'd do.
looks like it`d be fun on the jumps etc.

Who takes pics of their bikes when they're covered in mud and you can barely see them? 😉

If I didn't take photos of my bike when it was muddy, I'd never take photos of it 🙂 Actually, I did clean my bike in April and took some photos tehn.
My 456. Just swapped the Vanillas for some Dual Air Pikes, not ridden it with the Pikes yet as the front brake hose is now too short.
Great all round bike, superb on singletrack and rocky tech stuff.

I put slicks and panniers on it last weekend and rode the 200 mainly road miles from Bingley to Banbury, over three days.

And the most recent - built this week and ridden no further than the bottom of the garden (now with sorted stem and gear cables). Has replaced my short travel geared bike to hopefully learn me some skillz.
Extra points to Saccades for including an almost buried troll in his photo 🙂
Here's mine - not the most inspiring of backdrops (don't say a word about the state of the lawn...) but it does at least show the frame in its current guise. It's an 18" sliding dropout model - and its ace.
I don't normally run the Revs on it - it's just that the 100mm Rebas are at the menders.
