Thinking about something a bit different from the usual black for a new build. I'm considering white, but extra points for pics with colours 😀

If you buy the Goodridge sealed gear cables from CRC, you get blue sleeve to go over the exposed inners, anotherstan. Not much use on a 456 with a continuous run though, I guess, but it looks 'interesting' on my silver / black Anthem X with the carbon effect outers and blue inners showing.

Good idea with the heatshrink druidh, much cheaper than new cables too.

Cheapest option is BMX linear brake outer - about £8 a shot. Slightly thicker than gear outer so you'll need to use brake ferrules instead of gear ones but does the job just fine (and you'll have a spare brake cable for your bmx 😉 ) . . . and look at all the lovely colours 8)

Odyssey slate blue - perfect match for Hope gunsmoke . . .

Standard spiral wound brake outer does Goz, but linear is the same as mtb gear outer, ie, compressionless housing.
