Extended report on BBC Breakfast this morning actually using the terminology of electric bikes correctly when filming with Police seizing illegally boosted ones off, largely delivery, riders in a busy town centre.

That section of the news was probably quite fair, but you missed the two really poor pieces of reporting when the BBC gave a platform to Aldo Zilli to rant about ebikes and cyclists in general because his mother in law was knocked down by a Lime bike which apparently jumped some lights.

The evil chef was given air time to rant about bike registration, evil ebikes and such crap.

The BBC are not balanced.

Honestly is this bollox still going?

who really Gives a shit anymore? It’s sunny out and I have seen some truly stunning moves on the roads this last couple of weeks from all classes of vehicle (legal or otherwise).

It’s the wild ****ing west now, there’s no police or enforcement evident and I don’t think we as a society really care anymore.

Yeah People tutt and whine on the social Meeja. But you’re all at it, dip your toe and do 35 in a 30, razz your chipped E-go chariot along a pavement, tailgate every car you end up behind, amber gamble, or just plain blast through a red. I see so much of it lately that I can’t believe the number of saints apparently on this thread still.

The mislabelling of middle-aged blokes on e-bikes is still a cause that honestly doesn’t deserve anyone’s empathy. Of all the oppressed minorities in the world… They are not one.

Sorry so because you see some people breaking the law therefore everyone has to be? I know its fun virtue signalling but its difficult to see what you are trying to argue here.

Clearly lots of people do care even if it is stoked up by the heil etc confusing cyclists with motorcyclists.
