Hi all,

I have this bend in my WTB KOM i25 rim. I didn’t know about it until I went to change tyres.

null

Should I just stick a new tyre on and carry on or try to bend it out? Perhaps by putting a piece of wood to either side and clamping it?

Any suggestions welcomed!

I would just get an adjustable spanner on it and ease it back.

Yep, adjustable spanner will sort it.

Doesn't look too bad but I'd get the adjustable spanner out and bend it back whilst I had the chance. I also put a metal ruler on the outside of the rim to protect the rim and provide a guide to how much spannering is required

I would bend it out.

I’m also going to follow nukes suggestion next time I do one of mine 🙂

I’d follow nuke’s suggestion but use a Knipex to push the rim towards the ruler (the clamp acts like a vice) instead of bending it using the adjustable.

You need a RimJibber which is a copy of the no longer available Rim Rench.

Can be got from a guy called Joel Sears in the US. Works a treat.

A tool I don't own! I'm going to ask my wife to get me a RimJibber for my upcoming birthday, there's no way she can misinterpret that!
