I've got a 140mm rear travel Enduro with a shock of length 8.5", stroke 2.25"
other models of Enduro, same year, have 150mm travel with an 8.75" x 2.5" shock
I have a coil-over shock which is 8.75" x 2.75", can I fit this shock to the bike with a 0.25" 'bumper' on the shock shaft to compensate for the shorter compressed length?
if so, what can I use as a bumper?
thanks.

probably.. undo one shock mount bolt and check the shock can drop back 1/4" without anything fouling the frame.
plastic (PVC) plumbing washers, just cut one slit in 'em and twist them open and over the shaft (beneath the bottom out bumper).

PVC washers were what I was thinking of trying, was just wondering about durability
