I wouldn't mind trying out a new shock on my pitch, in particular coil.
Now i'm worried about using coil on the pitch due the different force vs displacement curves for air a coil, air being more progressive. This has a bigger impact on my pitch frame because the frame is designed around an air shock, the leverage ratio is progressive then digressive at the end of stroke to overcome the progressiveness in an air spring. My instinct says that a coil spring will bottom easy on my pitch frame, in particular because i've had to reduce my current air can volume to increase the progressiveness of the air spring so i stopped bottoming on 3ft+ high stuff.
So looking for peoples experiences of a coil shock on a pitch with your riding style and weight(if thats not too personal).
Also whether the monarch plus has been awesome to people, and whether a tuned van rc will be better than a stock tuned Vivid that has the correct tune for my frame.
