Shipping bike wheels ?

Hello.

My name is Paul and I have a wheel habit. All of my bikes have spare wheels.

I have 10 bikes, spare wheels. And a wife. One does not like all of the others.

Any ideas on a reasonable carrier for shifting wheels once/if sold, please? Evri, Parcelforce or someone else?

Many thanks.

Yours with tears in his eyes

Paul

Parcelforce. Use a proper wheel box, perhaps with a little extra protection, and you should be able to send them for less than a tenner.

Evri? Just no....

Go on parcel2go and compare your options. I normally end up using parcelforce but they aren't the cheapest.

By the time you factor in insurance there's bugger all in it.

Parcelforce, I think that is the easiest one to get a box in the size guidelines.

I've use Paisley Freight - they have a fixed price for bike wheels. And are next day delivery.

Surprised no one has asked what wheels and where are you to save you the hassle of packaging them up

When a wheel is delivered, I flatten the box and stick it under the bed. Having a proper box with the internal cardboard supports for it means the wheel is probably going to arrive undamaged.

Not that I actually like sending wheels(or selling them) but were I ever to, I've got the right tool for the job.

ParcelForce are good for it and doesn't really matter if they cost a bit more as the postage costs are added to the sale anyway so I am not paying them.
