Afternoon All,

My new XC bars are a skimpy 580mm and are feeling a little crowded so I'd like to free up some space. Any idea where I could buy some XT/Elixr matchmakers? I've googled but only found 1 German company asking for €35 for a pair plus postage. I think that's a bit pricey.

Thanks in advance

Hello? 1996 calling, they'd like their bars back please? 😛

I doubt anyone other than the place you found will make them, shimano and Avid are hardly likely to promote using their competitors products (hence the sad demise of the rollamajig after SRAM bought Avid)!

The avid ones are £30 so 35euro seems about right.

I gave my avid ones away (swaped them for the original clamps) as I couldnt get allong with them and prefered being able to position the shifters at a much steeper angle. They didn't save any bar space either (unless you're running a droper post, and a bell, and a fork adjuster, and a rear lockout adjuster etc) as the shifter and lever are still in the same poitions relative to each other, they just share a clamp, so unless youve got some kit that can sit ontop of the shifter and brake lever without interfering with them, it wont fit.

So it looks neater, but in the real world they weren't for me. Might considder goign back if/when I get it 1x10'd as the dropper post remote could go under the bar on the left so it's bit look neat and be functional 9hard to look newt with a reverb remote plonkd ontop of everything and largely dictating everythign elses position).
