ok just about to buy shimano xt cassette...theres two sizes ? it says m770 or m771 ...whats the difference please...... deciding to get a kmc chain too....apparently they are stronger and quieter shifting......
chainrings im getting 'blackspire'...will blackspire be compatible with kmc chain .. never had blackspire before....just fancy a change 😉

770 is 9 speed, 771 is 10 speed.
is the higher number not 10 speed and the lower number 9 speed?
i duno......im after a 9 speed cassette... so im asuming an m770 then..
yes and make sure it is a 9 speed chain as well
all the components - if 9 speed will work together
Chainrings will be fine with the chain, as long as the are both the same number of speeds (9 or 10). Cassette wise, m770 is 9 speed m771 is 10 speed.
