Am I right in thinking that SRAM seem to have much more OE coverage than Shimano? Just seems that bikes I like are coming with SRAM all the time, which is a bit of a shame as I like Shimano.
All depends what price the manufacturers can buy the kit in at
SRAM stuff is often tied (more discount) into bundles with Truvative finishing kit and Rockshox forks which makes it more attractive (read cheaper) to spec.
The bottom end SRAM stuff is crap but cheap, hence the reason it's on so many bikes as OEM these days.
The top end SRAM stuff is crap but expensive, hence the reason it's on so many bikes as OEM these days.

they only sell stuff to the public to increase the perceived value of there parts, notice ther are lots of 1200 bikes with a x0 rear mech but none with a xtr, its beacuse the xtr ones cost a lot more to make, shimano is a much bigger company than sram,
So which manufacturers tend to spec Shimano instead? I know Trek do, but that's about it.
