Looking to replace a Un73 68mm x 110, which seems to be osolete now, are the shimano Un square tapers (un26 and the un 54 look very reasonably priced) all the same?

I think the 73 and 54 were the same except the 73 had a lighter axle

What Smokey Jo sed. The UN72/3 had a hollow steel axle, whereas AFAIK the UN53 has a solid one. Sop the UN7x was slightly lighter. Same performance though. Shimano Sq taper BBs last for ever, which is why they had to then go an introduce new BBs which wear out much more quickly thus ensuring you have to spend more money replacing them more often. Very clever.
