Can somebody PLEASE tell me if it takes them twenty minutes to log into Merlin's website in the hope of getting the VIP prices, or is it just my bl**dy computer?
nope, logs in instantly. Must be your end.
No not just you, i tried last week for half an hour, try to log in, get thrown out...over and over again
Got what I wanted from cyclesports uk in the end for less than the Merlin VIP price so not all bad for me, not good for Merlin though....
Edit, on my iPhone
2 seconds here.... ๐
Damn. Always have had a problem with my end.
I'll try again and if that doesn't work I'm switching to Virgin fibre optic broadband. By the way, anyone know if Virgin broadband is any good?
I bought something from Merlin on Wednesday evening and instead of going back to the "thank you for your order" page it just waited for aaaages then gave me an "Unknown notification" load of rubbish page instead. I wasn't sure if I had actually bought anything until it turned up today... ๐
Their website has been really bad for me this week too, lots of server error pages. I've emailed them about it before just so they know and got a stock reply saying make sure to use latest browser etc.
Yup log on page is shite for me too. Sent an e Mail and they replied with nothing wrong at their end must be my comp. Oh well CRC/Evans/Wiggle were all open for business.
Yes they have problems - on my other tab I was placing a merlin order this very second and got this....
Server Error in '/' Application.
Runtime Error
Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.
Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".
<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->
<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="Off"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>
Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.
<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->
<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>
yeah thats the error I get too. Oh well we've told them, it's their loss!
VIP pricing seems to have stopped working for me too.
