MegaSack DRAW - 6pm Christmas Eve - LIVE on our YouTube Channel
I've got an aging pair of MW80s, inherited from my dad that are getting distinctly ropey thanks to my wonky pedalling and rubbing on the frame (thanks Boost spaced back ends).
I'm looking at getting a pair of MW701s (they seem to have a more "general tramping around on rocks" type sole than the XC race mud-plugging design of the newer 702s)
How do they size up? The MW80s are 44s - about right in the toe box, a bit baggy around the heel. I also have a pair of AM9s which are 43s and a better fit. I see the 701s are a narrower last than the AM9s, but not sure how that translates into the real world.
I'm usually a 42-43 depending on width...
Thanks!
I went from MW80 to MW701 and I found the 701s were sized slightly bigger.
In MW80 my 47's were a bit tight (normal merino socks) but the 47's in the MW701 are a perfect fit.
I'm UK12.
Roomy fit and good sole but I can't them tight enough for technical riding. They don't have overly deep heel cup like old Shimano winter shoes.
Yep, Shimano seemed to have gone up a half size or more.
