assumed theese were going to keep my feet dry. sadly not ,still wringing out my socks after 8 mile commute in light/med rain this morning.anyone recommend waterproof footwear that actually works?
So what were you using to stop the water going in the top? What did you have on your legs?
Cut the hands of a pair of heavy duty marigolds and use the bit left to provide a very effective seal between your leg and the neoprene cuff.
nothing , just pulled the neoprene velcro fasteners tight as possible onto bare legs as wearing waterproof shorts and wee socks.
used to wear am 30s and mt 500 over shoes and they didnt seem to let in as much as the mw81s .thanks for the marigold idea though.
or hill-walking gaiters...
The heavy duty ones come in black, of course you may prefer the pink or yellow. 🙂
think i might just go for the yellow as im saving up for a set of exposure lights and its getting a bit dark in the mornings 💡
Specialized Defrosters are similar to the MW81 but the waterproofing extends up the neoprene cuff. They won't keep your dry if water is running down your legs though. Do you have a full length front mudguard??
The only thing that will keep water out of your shoes is waterproof trousers over your waterproof shoes/overshoes.
Full length mudguards will make more of a difference than anything - its spray off your wheels that soaks your feet more than anything.
