Got a Saracen CR frame that I'd like to fit Shimano cranks to. Frame has Mid-type BB shell i.e. 41 mm pressfit and 68mm wide.
Does anyone know of a BB or adapter that would make this work?
I thought praxxis did one but cannot find it now.

Hope do a Shimano crank friendly BB for that shell I think. I've got the "46" version in my bike and once I'd removed some flash from the BB shell that it was moving against it's been quiet and trouble free.

This isn't an adapter it's a whole BB and it'd be worth buying their install tool as well.

Actually maybe not in 24mm if you go here and scroll down there's a pdf file with their compatibility... https://www.hopetech.com/products/drivetrain/bottom-bracket/press-fit-pf41-bottom-bracket/

Thanks but as far as I can tell that would be PF41. That is 41mm cups, but for a much wider shell. Unless I'm missing something

So a cursory google yielded a Pinkbike and Ridemonkey threads which suggested changing the bearing for a 24mm inner diameter version and running spacers. You would need to measure the spindle yourself to be sure though, it seems the FIT BMX 24mm cranks aren't actually 24mm.

Looking at the custom bracket you could maybe speak to @kayla1 and see if she can help if that's an option?

Are you sure it's 41mm not 42mm?

I run one like this in a 46 mm frame no worries.

It is possible but a massive faff and will require spacing out the axle and/or custom spacers.

In all honesty I'd just run decent BMX cranks.

But if you're sold on it, use this BB and these spacers:

I think it's going to be the run a BMX crank. My experience with cobbling together adapters and shims is usually an expensive BB in the bin after a few months!

That is the same as the Fit system. It would fit the 24mm crank axle, but the breathing would be inside the BB shell. Shimano cranks need the bearings on the outside of the shell otherwise the loading would be too great.
I reckon it could be bodged with spacers but wouldn't last long.

Googling suggests that mid BB shells are 41mm internal diameter. You can get a BB30 to threaded adapter that's 68mm wide but they're 42mm external diameter, so 1mm too big to fit in the mid frame. If you know someone local with a lathe who you can take the adapter and frame to they should be able to make it fit your frame if there's enough meat on the adapter to remove (looks like there is on this one)-
